Bookweird was "invented" by Scheherazade, narrator of the Arabian Nights.

First of all let's get this whole inventing thing out of the way. Bookweird wasn't invented, any more than sunlight or water or America was invented. Bookweird has been discovered hundreds of times by hundreds of readers. Scheherazade was just one of the many who fell into its spell and learned a few of its tricks.
