Bookweird Myth # 56Shakespeare: Practitioner of Bookweird?
I very often hear it said, by people who pretend to know more than they do, that playwright William Shakespeare was a practitioner of bookweird. Some of these so called expert claim that Shakespeare had a special ingresso whereby he inscribed certain secret letters in the air with a feather. This is all utter tripe, especially the feather part. What is true is that Shakespeare is a fictional character created by a true master of bookweird Kit Marlowe. Marlowe escaped into a book to avoid his assassination. He wrote the plays of "Shakespeare" while hidden insided his favorite book "Mr. Bunion's Big Book of Cats."
